PROTECTING YOURSELF AND OTHERS
AGAINST RESPIRATORY ILLNESS
Cover your nose and mouth with a tissue when you cough or sneeze
Wash your hands (for 20 to 30 seconds) regularly with soap and water, and dry them thoroughly, especially after you cough or sneeze
Dispose of used tissues immediately
When soap and water are not available, alcohol-based disposable hand wipes or gel sanitizers may be used. If using gel, rub your hands until the gel is dry. The gel doesn’t need water to work
Avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth. Germs spread that way
HANDWASHING IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING YOU CAN DO TO PROTECT YOURSELF
